Right now I am a little overwhelmed by the energy of real Indian people...90% of the people tries to get more money out from you as fixed-price does not exist and people wants to get more money fsimply they know you have money in your pocket.
yet it is mentally exhausting to negotiate price for everything...coconut water, rickshaw ride, purchasing small items, finding acomodation etc.,
This is the very first time I see real poverty,too. people living on the streets and in slams, kids pulling your clothes begging for money, peeing on the street, women washing their colorful saris in muddy water.
On the positive side, school started from yesterday and we have an interesting mix of people . French, American, Indian-American, British, Russian... all ladies in their 20's - 50's. Most of them are practicing some kind of medicine, such as Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Neurology, and a Psychologist, as well as two medical students from U.S.
we went out to have wine together and it is really nice to have some company after being on my own for several days!
